For the SEF 5K Medal Design Contest, please read the rules and guidelines below before submitting your entry.

Rules and Guidelines 

Participation Criterion 

• Current SUSD 5th - 8th graders

Submission Rules

• Entry must be an original design by a current SUSD 5th–8th grade student

• Any 3D design tool can be used to create design using the official contest template <click on link to download>

• Design must include the following text: “5K FUN RUN”, “SEF” and “2026” 

• One entry per student

Design Guidelines

• Medal size: 3.2” diameter (use provided template)

• Use bold, simple shapes — very fine lines or tiny details may not print well

• Text should be clear and easy to read

Selection Guidelines

• Winning design will be chosen based on creativity, originality, 3D printability, and connection to SEF 5K 

Note: The winning design may be adjusted for 3D printing. The final medal will be printed with multicolor swirl filament, so the colors may vary from the submitted design.

Submit entries by emailing your design file with your name, grade, and school to 5k-medal-contest@sef-ca.org by October 1, 2026.
