WHAT IS SEF?

It’s all of us! Saratoga Education Foundation (SEF) is district families that work together to provide our children with enrichments that make their education more valuable and competitive.

We are all fortunate to be a part of a district that spends wisely and provides the best teachers, small class sizes, and quality campuses. SEF was founded to expand funding to also provide enrichments our community values. SEF has a board of directors that do the heavy lifting of coordinating donations and turning them into opportunities for our children but everyone that makes a donation is an equal member. We have several meetings throughout the year and two surveys where you can give input and gather information.

SEF provides enrichments to all district students each year with family contributions.

This school year (2024-2025), we are funding: Elementary Makerspace, Elementary Science Labs, and STEM for Redwood Middle School. In addition, we are funding seminars for Redwood Middle School students, group transportation for elementary school field trips, and offering workshops targeted to parents and guardians of SUSD students.

For the 2025-2026 school year, SEF is collecting $500,000 to cover all grade-level school field trips and transportation for the 3 elementary schools and Redwood Middle School. SEF will also fund Elementary Makerspace, Elementary Science Labs, seminars for Redwood Middle School students, and workshops targeted to parents and guardians of SUSD students.

WHY DOES SEF FUNDRAISE?

SUSD provides Saratoga TK-8th grade students with a high-quality, purposeful education. However, the property taxes and other public funding granted to SUSD are simply not sufficient to cover several enrichment programs. Therefore, SEF fundraises to provide a grant to SUSD for Elementary Makerspace, Elementary Science Labs, and STEM for Redwood Middle School. New for calendar year 2025, SEF is adding seminars for Redwood Middle School students, funding group transportation for elementary school field trips, and offering workshops targeted to parents and guardians of SUSD students.

WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING GOAL FOR SEF IN THE 2024- 2025 ACADEMIC YEAR?

With the support of our generous community, SEF’s academic year 2024-2025 goal is to raise $500,000 for SUSD, to continue to provide beloved programs valued by our families at all our elementary and middle schools.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Donate today so we don’t lose any more of our valued programs. Your tax deductible donation is critical to SEF and SUSD. Please consider making a one time suggested donation of $1,000 per SUSD student, $2,000 for two students, or $2,500 for three or more students. We also greatly appreciate monthly payments of $100.
